VERITAS NetBackup Implementation Services
This service is designed to implement a data backup solution utilizing VERITAS NetBackup on a suitably configured Sun Solaris, AIX, or NT/Windows 2000 Server/Workstation. This service will install the software along with associated options and features, but does not include hardware installation. All required hardware, prerequisite software, and proper operating system (OS) is assumed to be in place and updated to the latest versions.

This service includes the following tasks:
  • Perform a review of the tasks associated with the Statement of Work and a review of the current environment as to the readiness to begin the work to be performed by Compsat Technology. A review of the required backup policies and procedures will be discussed. A project plan for the installation will be created at this time with mutually agreeable schedules.
  • Install and configure the NetBackup software on the identified servers/clients, up to 20 clients, and configure the tape libraries.
  • Perform a test backup and test file recovery on each of the above mentioned servers.
  • Document the installation and configuration
  • Provide basic knowledge transfer to the NetBackup administration.
